| . HKA Mission Statement The Hawaii Karate Association is dedicated to "Teaching Traditional Values & Developing Individual Excellence" through the art of Traditional Japanese Karate-do. To that end: The Hawaii Karate Association will place foremost and paramount, the virtues of self-development, self-discipline, and self-improvement, and endeavor to instill these in all students through lessons commensurate with the true spirit of Karate-do. The Hawaii Karate Association will endorse and espouse the highest standards of behavior including, but not limited to, the rules and tenets of the HKA Dojo Code of Conduct. The Hawaii Karate Association will provide technical instruction in the art of Karate-do on par with world-wide standards of excellence, and maintain the best contemporary, as well as traditional, teaching methodologies. The Hawaii Karate Association will provide quality instruction to all students without regard to age, ability, gender, lifestyle, nationality, ethnicity, or religious beliefs. The Hawaii Karate Association will hold as one of its highest priorities, the safety and well-being of all students, while at the same time maintaining a rigorous physical curriculum. The Hawaii Karate Association will endeavor to set high physical, technical, mental, and moral standards in Karate-do, in order to ensure that every member of the Dojo is offered the benefits of one of the best martial arts programs in the world. |
