     The JIKC Dojo Precepts

         Japan International Karate Center, Inc. was founded upon these five
         guiding principles over 40 years ago. To this day, they are the basis
         of JIKC instruction and philosophy in all schools, including HKA.

               Uphold the principles of propriety and courtesy

               Cultivate the spirit of effort

               Perfect a mind of patience

               Live the way of truth

               Do not lose self-control or act in a violent manner

         Based upon these precepts, the pupose of JIKC Karate training is
         "Not to conquer others, but to conquer the weaknesses within oneself."
